New Works Festival runs Saturday, July 10, 8 pm and Sunday, July 11, 2 pm, featuring new works by New England playwrights and performed by students in the NHTP Adult Performance Intensive. Join us after Sunday's performance for talk-back with playwrights!

NHTP presents five new works by four New England playwrights: Susan Goodell of Weston, CT; Robert Macadaeg of Rollinsford, NH; Margaret McAleese of Manchester, NH; and Andre Tremblay of Bow, NH. The production will also feature selected scenes by female playwrights that are "new" to contemporary audiences as they are rarely produced. Following Sunday's performance, the audience is invited to stay for a discussion with the playwrights and actors, facilitated by playwright Robert Macadaeg.

New Works are directed by Genevieve Aichele and Liz Krane, and performed by students in the Adult Summer Performance Intensive. This second annual New Works Festival is a unique opportunity for regional playwrights to see their work in production and receive audience feedback. "NHTP's mission is to create theatre that serves as a catalyst for transformation and community connection. " says Aichele, "The New Works Festival fulfills this mission for both playwrights and audience members, along with student actors who learn from the exciting collaborative process of workshopping a new script."
