Josh Sharpe is the Entertainment Editor for BroadwayWorld. For as long as he can remember, he has been in love with movies and the people who make them. This passion for great storytelling has been the driving force of his career journey.
An entertainment journalist since 2018, he has extensively covered the film and television industry, with bylines in Paste Magazine, TheaterMania, Collider, and The DisInsider. Across these platforms, he has produced numerous interviews, reviews, and news pieces, with a particular emphasis on The Walt Disney Company. During this time, he has had the privilege of interviewing such creatives as Hayley Mills, Jodi Benson, and Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman.
A graduate of Western Washington University, he studied Theatre and has since dabbled in directing. He has also appeared onstage in musicals like Into the Woods as The Baker and The Fantasticks as Matt.

Multiplatinum Detroit rapper Tee Grizzley turns up the heat yet again on a powerhouse new song entitled “Suffer In Silence” out now. On the track, an ominous piano loop sets the tone as Tee’s fast and furious flow kicks into high gear. He overpowers the production with a masterful lyrical display punctuated by a promise, “Ain’t done yet, still gonna be bigger. Hotly tipped alternative indie pop artist Rachel Chinouriri has shared her new single “It Is What It Is,” the final preview of her long-awaited debut album What A Devastating Turn Of Events, out May 3rd via Elektra. “It Is What It Is” channels Rachel’s frustrations about being messed around by a potential partner, featuring exasperated spoken word verses and voice notes from friends reminding her to know her worth. Indie folk duo The Brother Brothers have released their new album The January Album. Produced by Bridget Kearney of Lake Street Dive, The January Album was written in early 2021 and captures the intimate world around them while delicately illustrating the deep well of human experience that was forced into sharp focus at the time. A new documentary about a workshop of Jeremy O. Harris' provocative play will be premiering this summer at the Tribeca Festival in New York. The film, titled Slave Play. Not A Movie. A Play, is described as a playful and illuminating self-portrait of writer Jeremy O. Harris as he workshops and mines Slave Play, the provocative play that thrust him into the spotlight, with a new cast of young actors from New York’s William Esper Studio.
Swifties, rejoice! Overnight, Taylor Swift dropped a surprise expansion of her new album, The Tortured Poets Department. This double album adds an additional 15 tracks in a collection titled 'The Anthology'. Of the 15 songs, 11 are completely new, with 4 being previously released bonus songs on various vinyl editions of the album. Listen to the album here!
On April 20, 2024, we will see Ringo release his 5th EP, Crooked Boy, as a special limited edition marble vinyl on Record Store Day. He has also shared some of the tour dates for his Ringo & His All Starr Band Fall tour which will see them return to a few of Ringo’s favorite venues including Fallsview Casino in Fallsview, ON where he has launched several tours and to Radio City Music Hall where he has performed 8 times with the All Starrs. Hey, you guys! Hannah Waddingham has been brought in to market the The Fall Guy in a series of new promos. In the Ryan Gosling-led comedy, Waddingham plays a producer of the film in which Gosling works as a stuntman. In the meta promos, Waddingham, Gosling, and co-star Emily Blunt try their hand at marketing campaigns to help sell the movie. Paramount has just released a new promo from the forthcoming series Knuckles, a spin-off of the fan-favorite character from the world of Sonic the Hedgehog. Knuckles is a new live-action event series following Knuckles (Idris Elba) on a hilarious and action-packed journey of self- discovery as he agrees to train Wade Whipple (Adam Pally) as his protégé and teach him the ways of the Echidna warrior. A new featurette has been released for the horror film Abigail. In the behind-the-scenes look, In the Heights star Melissa Barrera talks about her character, who is a medic in the film. Abigail follows a group of would-be criminals who kidnap the 12-year-old ballerina daughter of a powerful underworld figure.
